Madi Thompson is a multimedia artist, audio engineer, and in-house booker at Gallery5 in Richmond, VA. A 2022 graduate of VCUarts with a BFA in Kinetic Imaging, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to sound, visuals, and performance. Madi designs show flyers, performs in Dysphonia and under her solo project Lizard Sister, and creates paintings and crafts that echo her musical sensibilities.

Born in Norfolk to a blue-collar family, she began playing guitar at an early age and proudly identifies as a second-generation punk. Her work captures the raw edges of the female experience, blending reverence for nature with the visual languages of collage, art nouveau and vintage psychedelia.
